How? Not with huge ad budgets. Not with €50,000-a-post influencers. With a structured method, content creators aligned with the brand’s DNA, and rigorous execution week after week.

In this article we lay out that method, the one we apply at The Court Agency for every brand we support on TikTok. Whether you are in fashion, sport, hospitality or retail, the principles are the same. And if you are a marketing director or head of digital, this article is for you.

Why TikTok became essential for brands

TikTok is no longer the network of dancing teenagers. In 2026 it is the most powerful organic acquisition channel for brands, by a distance.

A few numbers for context: 27.8 million monthly active users in France. 64% of Gen Z use TikTok as their main search engine, ahead of Google for some product categories. Average organic reach is 3 to 5 times Instagram’s. And Statista projects 2.25 billion users worldwide by 2027, 40% growth on 2025.

But what really sets TikTok apart is its distribution algorithm. Unlike Instagram or LinkedIn, TikTok doesn’t distribute content based on the size of your audience. An account with 0 followers can get 500,000 views on its first video, if the content is good. That changes everything for brands. On Instagram you are stuck with your existing base. On TikTok, every video is a new chance to reach thousands of people who don’t know you yet.

The problem? Most brands approach TikTok the way they approach Instagram: polished content, corporate tone of voice, rigid editorial calendar. The result: 200 views per video and a sense of failure after three months.

TikTok needs the opposite: authenticity, spontaneity, pace. And above all a fine understanding of the platform’s codes, which change every week. That is why the brands that succeed don’t run TikTok in-house with a generalist community manager. They rely on format specialists.

The 3-pillar method to launch your brand on TikTok

At The Court Agency we have built our TikTok support around three pillars. They aren’t theory: it is what we execute every week with our clients.

Pillar 1: creator casting

TikTok content that performs isn’t made by ad agencies. It is made by creators who understand the platform’s codes: trends, formats, pace, transitions.

Our first job: find and recruit the right creators for your brand. Not influencers with 500K followers and five-figure fees. TikTok-native content creators who can produce 3 to 5 videos a week in a tone that fits your DNA.

The number-one criterion isn’t audience size. It is the ability to make content people watch to the end. Watch time, the average viewing time, is the metric that rules on TikTok. A creator whose videos are watched to 80% is worth infinitely more than an influencer whose videos are scrolled past after 2 seconds.

Pillar 2: format strategy

On TikTok, a format that works can be repeated 50 times. A format that doesn’t must be dropped immediately. There is no room for emotional attachment to a creative idea.

We test constantly: unboxing, product reviews, behind the scenes, POV, challenges, replies to comments, duets, stitches. And we analyse the data every week to double down on what works and cut what doesn’t.

The key is smart volume. Not posting for the sake of it, but posting enough for the algorithm to have material to test and distribute. In practice, that means at least 4 to 5 videos a week in the launch phase, and 3 a week at cruising speed.

Pillar 3: the feedback loop

The difference between an account that stalls and one that takes off is the speed of iteration. Every week we analyse which formats performed and why, which hooks caught attention, and which calls to action drove engagement.

That feedback is shared with creators in real time. They adjust, test, refine. It is a continuous process, not a fixed plan signed off once a quarter. Brands that treat TikTok as a “set and forget” channel condemn themselves to stagnation.

A concrete case: how we took Celio from 0 to 137,000 followers

You think The Court Agency specialises in tennis and padel? You’re right. It is our DNA, our niche, our expertise from day one. So how did we end up launching the TikTok account of a menswear brand?

The story starts with Jules Marie, a tennis content creator we were supporting on TikTok at the time. Our videos with Jules were doing well on the platform, and the Celio team, who already trusted us on tennis activations, noticed. One day the challenge came up naturally: “You do this for Jules, why not for us?”

That is exactly how this project started. Not with a sales pitch, but with a conversation between partners who trust each other. When Celio decided to launch on TikTok, the question was simple: how can a menswear brand established for decades exist on a platform dominated by Gen Z?

Our answer: by avoiding corporate content above all. By finding creators who speak the platform’s language and can carry the Celio world authentically, with humour, spontaneity and a real connection with the community.

Phase 1: launch and acceleration (months 1 to 3)

The first three months were intensive testing. Several creators, several formats, several editorial angles. The goal wasn’t to look good, it was to find what hooks the algorithm and the community.

We tested very different formats: in-store humour, offbeat product reviews, challenges between sales staff, urban lifestyle content. Some formats got 50,000 views, others 500. That is exactly the point: you need that data to know where to invest.

The result of the acceleration phase: 50,000 followers in 3 months. Not through a lucky viral hit, but through high content volume and rigorous analysis of what worked.

Phase 2: consolidation and growth (months 4 to 12)

Once the winning formats were identified, we doubled down. More content in the formats that performed, dropping those that didn’t, bringing in new creators for freshness and to avoid audience fatigue.

The posting pace stayed high. Weekly analysis let us spot micro-trends specific to Celio’s audience and exploit them before competitors.

The result at 12 months: 137,000 followers. An active community that comments, shares and, above all, converts into store and e-commerce traffic.

The end of the project, and what it taught us

After 12 months, Celio made the logical choice for a brand its size: bringing this activity back in-house, into its communication teams and its lead agency. The machine was built and the results proven, so they took it over. We are proud of that, and we thank them for their trust.

The experience also taught us something important about ourselves: we are better when we work in our niche. Tennis, padel, sport in general: that is where we add real value, with deep knowledge of the audiences, the codes and the creators. Since this project we have chosen to focus our energy where our expertise is irreplaceable. We no longer take fashion brands as clients, not because we can’t, but because we are far more useful where we truly excel.

What made the difference

Four things were decisive in this launch. First, choosing TikTok-native creators rather than models or studio-produced content: authenticity before production. Second, a sustained posting pace of at least 4 to 5 videos a week, without a break. Third, weekly performance analysis with real-time adjustments passed on to creators. And finally, zero ad spend in the first 6 months: 100% organic growth that proves how solid the content strategy was.

What you can apply right now

You don’t need an agency to start. Here are the fundamentals any brand can put in place this week.

Forget perfection. The TikTok content that performs is rarely the most produced. Film on an iPhone, edit quickly, post. Spontaneity beats production every time. TikTok users spot “too corporate” content in a second, and scroll.

Post at least 3 times a week. TikTok’s algorithm favours consistency and volume. Below 3 posts a week you don’t give the algorithm enough material to understand your audience and distribute your videos well.

Analyse your first 3 seconds. The hook, the opening seconds of your video, decides whether people watch or scroll. Test different hooks on the same content. You will be surprised by the performance gaps: a good hook can multiply your views by 10.

Treat comments as a gold mine. The comments under your videos tell you exactly what your audience wants to see. Reply with a video: it is one of the best-performing formats on TikTok and a reliable way to drive engagement.

Don’t copy trends, adapt them. A trending sound + your product + an original angle = the winning combo. But if the trend doesn’t fit your brand, skip it. Authenticity always beats opportunism.

If you want to go faster and further, that is where structured support makes the difference. We apply the same method in other sectors, from sport to retail and digital marketing for padel clubs.

The 5 mistakes that sink brands on TikTok

Posting recycled Instagram content. TikTok has its own codes. An Instagram carousel reformatted as a video won’t work. Vertical format, editing pace, transitions: it is all different. Create native content for the platform, or don’t post at all.

Trying to control the message. Brands that succeed on TikTok accept letting go of tone, framing and visual perfection. If your approval process involves 4 rounds of feedback and an executive committee, TikTok isn’t for you yet, or it is time to change the process.

Betting on one big influencer. A creator with 500K followers posting once about your brand is a firework: spectacular but short-lived. Three creators with 10K posting every week is a sustainable growth engine. Easy choice.

Giving up after a month. TikTok rewards consistency. The first meaningful results rarely come before 6 to 8 weeks of regular posting. Most brands give up too early and wrongly conclude that “TikTok doesn’t work for us”.

Ignoring the data. Posting without analysing is driving without GPS. TikTok Analytics gives you everything: watch time, completion rate, traffic sources, audience demographics. Use it every week to make decisions, not just to watch numbers go up or down.

The method works, and in our niche we master it

The Celio case proved to us that the method is solid. But our real strength is applying it where we know the codes by heart: tennis, padel, sport in general.

If you run a padel club, a sports brand or a federation and you are wondering how to build a real digital presence on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, that is exactly what we do. With the same rigour, the same feedback loop, and deep knowledge of your audience.
